"Burtuqaal" Vintage Boujaad Rug
A wonderfully vibrant vintage Boujaad, The Burtuqaal takes its name from the Arabic word for orange, inspired by the Portuguese traders who introduced the fruit to North Africa.
Woven in a rich, fiery orange, this characterful rug features bold Amazigh geometric motifs in forest green, ochre, rust, mustard and black. A striking central diamond anchors the design, surrounded by smaller symbolic forms and intricate detailing that give the piece its distinctive, almost tribal character.
