“Spring Flowers” - Contemporary Beni Ourain Rug

A joyful contemporary take on the traditional Moroccan Beni Ourain, “Spring Flowers” is handwoven in 100% sheep’s wool, with a wonderfully soft, deep and characterful pile.

Set against a warm natural ivory ground, delicate branching lines in red are scattered with touches of orange, green, blue and soft pink, evoking the first flowers and new growth of spring. Down the centre, a series of richly textured diamond motifs brings together vibrant jewel-like colours, giving the rug a playful, almost embroidered quality.

The irregularities in the weave, raised wool and hand-drawn motifs are all part of its charm, giving this small rug a distinctly individual, artisan-made feel. Finished with traditional fringed ends, it would make a beautiful bedside rug, accent piece or colourful addition to a quiet corner.
