‘Shaggy’ wicker lampshade

Add some texture and fun to your lighting with these handwoven shaggy palm leaf lampshades!

These statement pieces look equally amazing hung from a pendant light fitting or used as a standard lamp. They glow at night and shed beautiful shadows up on to the ceiling. 

Not only beautiful, they are strong and tough enough to use outdoors and can be painted to coordinate with your colour scheme.

Please note, sizes quoted are from top to bottom of weaving. Fringe length is in addition to this length but, fringes can be trimmed! 

Hanging SMOUK lampshades

LED bulbs are recommended as they do not produce heat.

Using an oversized industrial style bulb works really well. If you choose to use a large bulb, simply thread the pendant light through the hole in the top and allow the shade to rest on the bulb.

Others add a hook and chain from the ceiling. Ikea sell a simple black or white ceiling pendant with a long lead that allows you to hang them anywhere on the ceiling.

If you are using them on a standard lamp, you will need a lampshade cage or I can laser cut you a holder that inserts between the screw fitting and holds the shade up.
